Sunatimes.com - Western Diplomats have turned their backs on Ugandan opposition Leader Bobi Wine, according to a senior Intelligence Official in the Horn of Africa. Western Governments have dropped Bobi Wine after he was accused in Uganda of involving himself in violence to send wrong message to the International Community. " Investigations have revealed that Bobi Wine himself orchestrated the violence against civilians in order to blame Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni," said a senior Western Intelligence official.
Other reasons for Bobi Wine's loss of support from the UK, Europe and the United States have been the use of a large-scale campaign to intimidate his supporters, such as blocking the Facebook accounts such as of a Ugandan academician a female Makerere University Lecturer in Kampala Dr Stella Nyazi.
The Ambassador, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said they were pressuring the Ugandan President over the case of people arrested by the police during and after the General campaigns who were and not involved in the political insurgency, seeking for political positions and change of leadership in the country to be granted their freedom out of the Prisons.
A journalist close to top US officials says "Bobi Wine is facing stress and political quagmire after listening in on phone calls from US officials with whom he had confidenceā€.
Bobi Wine's supporters have also attacked the German Embassy in Uganda's Facebook page with hate speech and comments that do not deserve so-called freedom of expression.
However, African Presidents are attending the swearing-in and inauguration of a Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni, which is believed to have added to Bobi Wine's loss of hope and has  disrupted his People Power,  Unity Platform Party (NUP) prospects of leadership.
