Residents who spoke to local media described the events as among the most serious outbreaks of violence seen in the capital in recent years. Many called for an immediate end to the fighting and urged political leaders to resolve their differences through dialogue rather than armed confrontation.
Human rights advocates have also called for independent investigations into reports of civilian casualties and damage to civilian infrastructure.
Meanwhile, efforts to ease tensions reportedly continue as political leaders, community elders, and international partners seek ways to prevent further escalation.
As fighting continues to affect parts of Mogadishu, civilians remain trapped between rival political and military forces, raising concerns about the humanitarian consequences of the crisis.
