Ahlu Sunna administration in central Somalia regions has said it has made ready is delegates who are to attend the constitutional meeting in Mogadishu.
The meeting which kicks off in Mogadishu on Saturday brings together hundreds of Somali elders in effort to endorse the country’s new draft constitution aimed at winding up the current transitional period.
Speaking at a meeting in Guri’el town, Omar Sheikh Mohamed, an Ahlu Sunna official noted the importance of attending the meeting in order to play a great role in ending the eight years old transition period.
He said his administration has set up a group of committee to select traditional elders that will represent these regions during the meeting.
Meanwhile, Ahlu Sunna has called on Somalis to desist from internal wrangles and move forward in uniting for a common goal.
