NAIROBI(Sunatimes) About 50 African Union peacekeepers based in Somalia have died in clashes with militants linked to al-Qaeda over the past two weeks, suggesting a dramatic escalation in the fight for the Somali capital, Mogadishu.

Mogadishu(Sunatimes) The members of Somali Interim Parliament are supposed to meet today and to discuss the internal displaced people (IDPs) in African continent.
"We are worried about the government's performance towards the press freedom, we condemn the attack in the toughest language, we urge the government to stop attacks on the press" said Abukar Albadri, the director of AGroup
"The move to silence Kulmiye Radio is a drastic act against the freedom of the media and freedom of expression as well" said the chairman of Associated Somali Journalists Dahir Alasow.
Mogadishu(Sunatimes) At the noon of today a closing letter towards Radio Kulmiye was provided by the chief of security agency in Banadir region for the TFG.
"I have just been informed that Kulmiye Radio was shut down by the security agents of the government and I don't know the reason they have silenced our radio."
