Mogadishu (Sunatimes) The fighting between Somali government troops backed by The African Union peace keeping forces (AMISOM) and Harakatu Shabab, the anti-government element in Somalia erupted in the township early this morning.

The fighting broke out this morning at areas of the ministry of defense as Shabab fighters attacked the bases of the government and AMISOM in the capital, those confiscated a week ago.

Roar of heavy guns between the two sides warring in the city, were heard this morning in the villages of Banadir region no one still knows the casualties of the battle.

The battles between Harakatu Shabab and Somali transitional federal government troops supported by AMISOM almost cause the casualties of innocent civilians those got tire of fighting over 20 years as former government by Mohamed Siyad Barre  was toppled in 1991.
