Mr. Dahir Alasow, although known as the most prominent journalist in the Somali community, has also emerged as Somalia's most generous philanthropist.

His court, known as SOM Civil Court, has become a hub for continuous humanitarian support, assisting hundreds of thousands of people — including poor women and the sick.

Every night, Mr. Alasow dedicates at least four hours to helping the most vulnerable in society, especially those who are ill or in urgent need of assistance.

Last night, among those he helped was a young boy born intersex (hermaphrodite). The boy’s mother brought him to Alasow’s court, and Mr. Alasow immediately launched a fundraising campaign.

Doctors at Hodan Hospital confirmed that the boy would undergo four critical surgeries, with the total cost estimated at $12,000. Mr. Dahir Alasow personally signed off the payment to Hodan Hospital and ordered that the surgeries begin without delay.

This is just one of the extraordinary acts that  (Journalist) Dahir Alasow performs nightly. Over the past three years, he has consistently been a compassionate benefactor to the poor and marginalized.

Mr. Alasow is a Somali-Dutch citizen residing in Breda, in the province of Brabant, in the Netherlands. His humanitarian work brings honor to both the country he lives in and the city he calls home, earning him the title "Voice of the Voiceless” and the reputation of being a lifeline for the oppressed.
