The Puntland state administration has accused Al Shabaab fighterst for the assassination of Sheikh Abdulkadir Nur Farah, a well-known Islamic scholar across Somalia, Dalsan Correspondent in Garawe reports.
President Farole said: “His assassination displays that they will not let anybody live. Even the Shiekhs are killed. Look at the undue massacres of Sheikh Ahmed Haji Abdirahman and Sheikh Abdulkadir Nur Farah. If they believe and trust in Islam, would they kill the Islamic scholars? That is sufficient to mirror upon. I wish the Somali people to awaken up alongside this enemy of Islam.”
Puntland President Abdirahman Mohamed Farole delivered a sad media announcement on Friday evening in Garowe , stating that the guy who killed the Sheikh is in police charge.
“On behalf of Puntland Government and people, and the Somali people, I hereby show my earnest sympathies and condolence to the family, relatives and friends of Sheikh Abdulkadir Nur Farah, a popular sheikh based in Garawe the capital of Puntland, and I pray to Allah to excuse Sheikh Abdulkadir and to award him Jannah, said President Farole.
“Sheikh Abdulkadir was the leader of the Islamic clergy in Puntland and a renowned and valued Islamic scholar among Somali scholars and across the people of Somalia,” President Farole said while sad face.
The Puntland leader pinpointed the Sheikh’s murderer as Abdirahman Hussein Jama Bile, saying: “There are countless eyewitnesses who saw the killing.”
