Hargeisa: Sunatimes- Voting counting is well under way in Somaliland and some of the early results indicate that two of three contesting parties have won themselves large votes in different provinces.

Early results in the 26th June polls show that the opposition Kulmiye party has won majority votes in the Togdheer, Sool and Marodi-jeh provinces, and mainly in the capital Hargeysa.

The ruling party of President Dahir Reyale Kahin has also worn the majority of votes in Awdal and Sahil, where the vote counting exercise has come to an end.

The vote counting exercise is expected to conclude in two days time all over Somaliland and the official results announced by the electoral commission soon after.

Somaliland, which is a break away region of Somalia, held its second democratic election although the state is not recognized by any other country.
