Ahmed Abdi Karie aka Qoorqoor who was one of the investors of the central Somalia pirates has invaded Galmudug state with the barrel of the gun, after forces from the central government secured headquarter of the federal member state (Dhusamareb) for him.

Ahmed Qoor qoor from Habar gidir sub clan of Saleban got his wealthy from ships captured from the high seas by the pirates of Mohamed Abdi Afweyne.  Qoorqoor who belongs the same subcln of Afweyne used to finance the activities of the pirates, but he joined later on Islamic union of courts established in Mogadishu.  He was appointed the deputy manager of the Mogadishu port, Mohamed Sahafi, a former pirate told Sunatimes.com.

When Ethiopian forces entered the country, he fled from Adado, but was arrested in Mogadishu as a member of defeated union Islamic courts.  He has big businesses in Mogadishu, Nairobi and South Sudan.  The man who is the custodian of the money of Qoorqoor and Afweyne is Mr Aayatollah who lives in Nairobi Kenya.  He is believed to be involved in the attack on Dusit D2 in Nairobi.

Mr Qoorqoor became a minister of state in the government of Hassan Ali Khaire.  In his past history, he was the bodyguard of the late warlord Mohamud Sigane, and was one time a gunner of anti-aircraft gun mounted on vehicle.

He took part the battle between Gen. Aideed and US led forces.  He destroyed the first vehicle of the foreign forces near Hawlwadaag junction.  According to his two Somali passports, one of them is diplomatic, Ahmed Qoorqoor was born in Hobyo, Mudug on October 20 1969 which means he is 51, but in real accounts he was born in Da’dheer at the border of Ethiopia.  His friend whom they committed the same crime, Mr Afweyne, is serving jail sentence in Belgium, but Qoorqoor fought bitterly against Ahlusunna wal Jamaa forces led by Sheikh Shakir in Dhusamareb.  He killed nearly 100 people in Dhusamareb and Guri’el.

Even though he claims to be the president of Galmudug state since the announcement of the uncontested election which he was the sole candidate, the UN and EU preferred not to send congratulatory message and remain silent.
