Mogadishu, Somalia (Waagacusub.net)-A newly released report says that the Minister of Information of Somalia has involved in unwanted sex contact with a number of female journalists that occurred in the Ministry of Information.

A report released by Associated Somali Journalists (ASOJ) urged President Hassan Sheikh Mohamoud to sack immediately the country's minister of information, Mohammed Hayir Maareeye.

ASOJ accused the minister of committing forcible sex offenses against three female journalists that work for the Somali national Radio and Television.

The female journalists that contacted to ASOJ told that they could not resist him due to fear of  not only losing their jobs but also being a target of Al-Qaeda aligned Al-Shabaab that would execute them for "apostate", a term they refer to any person working with the western-backed government.

It is believed that the Minister Maareeye manipulated the threats that the journalists always receive from Al-Shabaab militant.

ASOJ also obtained a document indicating that the minister Maareeye bought  vehicles when the ministry failed to pay the salaries of its  journalists for the Radio and television.

ASOJ finally called on the International Community, Human Rights and Press defenders to investigate the sexual assault that the minister involved in.
