Prime minister to form a new and more effective cabinet in the coming days.

MOGADISHO (Sunatimes) Somalia’s prime mister Omar Abdirashid Ali is due to announce new cabinet of 27 ministers for the next few days after ending the long standing inner political conflict with the president – as the government still at war with the Islamist rebel groups.

 The announcement of the new cabinet was expected to happen yesterday but was postponed for 48 hours due to technical issues over selection figures.

Reports say the deferral caused by a threat made Gen. Abdi Hasan Awale Qeybdid against the president after he didn’t find his name in the list of the new cabinet.

Gen. Qeybdid who was supposed to be out of the new cabinet was later accepted to be in the list of the coming new government.

 Qeybdid, a former warlord, served as the police commander in the government of Abdulahi Yusuf and later became minister of water and minerals. He has around 50 war-vehicles with more than thousand militiamen.

Sunatimes has luckily got the names of some ministers that will be announced sooner as below;

Mohamed Ali Hamud of Digil and Mirifle clan will be named as the minister of foreign. He is a close of friend of the current parliament speaker Sharif Hassan Sheik Adam.

Mustaf Dhuhulow of Murursade, Hawiye clan will be the minister of the international relationships.

Sheik Adam Madobe of Digil and Mirifle clan will be minister of ports and transportations and deputy prime minister.

Ahmed Abdisalan Haji Adem of Habargidir, Hawiye clan will be appointed as the minister of national security.

Abdullahi Mohamed Ali Sambalolshe of Hawadle, Hawiye clan will be ministers of information but he reportedly rejected it as simple post.

“I know nothing about media combination and I would not be minister of information.” Said Sambalolshe, the care taker of national security minister.
