SOMALIA VIOLENCE!

By news Desk

MOGADISHU (Sunatimes)- The united nations secretary Ban Kimoon is expected to introduce a set of quality of life pay raises and benefits for AU peacekeeping forces in Somalia, Burundian news agency reported.

By quoting officials Net Press says the Ugandan and Burundian peacekeepers’ salary will be raised from 450 dollars per person per month to 1028 dollars.

Ban made the promise as he was touring Gakumbu barracks in Burundi on 10th of June. "I will take it upon myself as soon as I return to New York", Net Press quoted him saying.

African Union officials in Mogadishu could not be reached for comment on the matter.

African Union troops back government forces in the fight against the insurgents as they protect few blocks in the city and escort Somali officials.
