CHISINU (Sunatimes)- the Moldovan government has said it would try a British citizen of Somali origin in the next month after he was intercepted as he was trafficking a young Somali girl last year, Basapress news agency reported.

The man has been detained at Chisinau international airport for an attempt to traffic a 17-year-old girl to the EU using a fake British passport.

The two were detained on 17 October during the check-in for the Chisinau-Vienna flight, the agency said.

The name of the defendant was not yet brought in public.
