Kampala (Sunatimes) Close to one thousand Somali soldiers who were undergoing training in Uganda will finish their training in due course, government official told. Colonel Hussein Abshir Ali, a government representative in the training told Bar-kulan that the soldiers have undergone intelligence and administration training. Abshir said the training was financed by the European Union in attempts meant to upgrade the standards of the TFG soldiers. He pointed out that the soldiers can be part of any change realized in the country asserting the importance of having loyal soldiers. Many soldiers for the TFG have been trained in neighboring countries of Somalia which has seen to the pushing of the Al Shabab militias from their key positions in Mogadishu and southern parts of the country in the latest offensive by the TFG and AMISOM.
