Armed gangs robbed passengers in Jowhar

Armed men have on Wednesday night robbed passengers travelling on a mini bus heading to Galkayo city.

The incident took place in a village known as Boro which lies 5 kilometers from Jowhar town in Middle Shabelle region.

Some of the passengers who talked to Sunatimes said that the gangs stopped their car and took all their valuables including money and mobile phones.

It was only two weeks ago when a similar robbery incident occurred in Jowhar town.

Al-Shabaab militant group controls Jowhar and no comments from the group were available after the incident.
