Dublin, Ireland – A major milestone has been reached in the world of Somali humanitarian work after Alasow Foundation CLG was officially registered in the Republic of Ireland as a non-profit organisation. The registration was completed with the Companies Registration Office (CRO), granting the foundation full legal status and the authority to operate transparently within Ireland and internationally.
This official recognition confirms that Alasow Foundation CLG meets all legal requirements for charities and public-benefit organisations in Ireland, ensuring:

Full legal identity and compliance
Financial accountability and transparency
Eligibility to manage and distribute donations legally
Trust and assurance for donors and international partners

The development marks a major step forward not only for the foundation but also for the wider Somali community worldwide, demonstrating the importance of organised, transparent and effective charitable work.

Upcoming Humanitarian Projects and Foundation Goals

Alasow Foundation CLG has already been known for impactful humanitarian activities across Somalia, East Africa and Somali diaspora communities around the world. With its new legal base in Ireland, the foundation has announced a set of upcoming priority projects:

Water Well Construction

Launching and expanding water projects including deep water wells in regions affected by drought and water shortages across Somalia.

 Orphan Care and Protection

Building and supporting centres dedicated to education, nutrition and protection of orphaned children.

 Emergency Medical Support

Providing funding for life-saving medical treatments and surgeries for families who cannot afford healthcare.

Youth Empowerment & Education

Scholarship and skill-building initiatives to empower Somali youth through education and employment opportunities.

 Emergency Response Aid

Providing immediate assistance during crises such as floods, displacement, drought, famine and conflict.

The organisation has emphasised that all programs will follow strict transparency and public financial reporting, ensuring donors can track exactly where every euro is spent.

Statement from the Foundation

In an official message, the management of Alasow Foundation CLG stated:

"The registration in Ireland is a victory for all Somalis. It enables us to expand our humanitarian mission globally, improve accountability and reach the people who need help the most — with transparency and dignity.”

The foundation called on members of the Somali diaspora, international stakeholders and humanitarian supporters:

to take part in building a better future — because one water well, one protected orphan, or one life-saving medical treatment can change lives forever.
