General Elmi has said the Somali national army and the AMISOM forces have succeeded to drive Al-shabaab out of Hudur, Wajid, Rabdure and Burdubo key strategic towns in Bakol and Gedo provinces.

The army chief has said the Somali armed forces are in control of all this strategic areas and trying to minimize civilian casualties during the operation against the militant group.

General Dahir Adan Elmi has congratulated the Somali armed forces for the success against the Al-Shabaab militant group while urging the general public to closely cooperate with the security forces in the fight against Al-Shabaab militants.
