In a message to Somali President Sharif Sheikh Ahmed, Zillur Rahman said

The president of the transitional federal governments (TFG) of Somalia Sheik Sharif sheik Ahmed and his Prime Minister Omar Abdirashid have received congratulatory messages form the Bangladeshi counterparts on the occasion of Somalia’s great day July the 1st.

President Zillur Rahman and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina today congratulated their Somali counterparts on the occasion of the National Day of the country that falls today.

In a message to Somali President Sharif Sheikh Ahmed, Zillur Rahman said, "It is my firm belief that the excellent bilateral relations which have grown over the years between our two brotherly countries will further be cemented to the mutual benefit of our two peoples in the years to come."

He wished good health and personal wellbeing of Sheikh Ahmed and continued peace, progress and prosperity of the brotherly people of Somalia.



Sheikh Hasina in her message to Somali Prime Minister Omar Abdirashid Ali Sharmarke said, "I firmly believe that the bonds of cooperation and friendship that so happily exit between our two brotherly countries will be consolidated and strengthened in the years to come."
She wished good health and personal wellbeing of Abdirashid and continued peace, progress and prosperity of the brotherly people of Somalia.
