A Somali taxi driver living in Finland has come under intense scrutiny after multiple reports surfaced accusing him of harassing and verbally abusing women and children — many of them from Canada, Europe, and the United States — during his TikTok Live broadcasts.
The man, identified as Ali Abdirisak Aden, known on TikTok as @abditaajirmr0, reportedly resides at Lumparinkatu 13 B, Raisio, Turku, where he works as a taxi driver. However, his online behavior has sparked outrage among the Somali diaspora, who accuse him of spreading hate, defamation, and humiliation against innocent women and minors.
Witnesses and victims say that the man frequently hosts TikTok Live sessions where he insults mothers, mocks children, and uses vulgar language, violating Finland’s laws on public decency and online harassment.
"It is deeply disturbing to see someone using social media to attack families and children,” said Dahir Abdulle Alasow, founder of the Solda Safety Network, an organization that defends victims of online abuse and hacked accounts.
"We have documented evidence and testimonies from several victims in Canada, the U.S., and Europe. We are formally requesting the Finnish Police to open an investigation and take immediate legal action,” Alasow added.
⚖️ Legal Context in Finland
Under Chapter 24 of the Finnish Criminal Code, acts such as defamation, harassment, and public insult are punishable offences. Online abuse, especially when targeting minors or women, can result in criminal prosecution, fines, or imprisonment.
Furthermore, according to Section 8 of the Finnish Taxi Transport Act (Taksiliikennelaki 320/2017), a licensed taxi driver must:
Conduct themselves honorably and responsibly, both during and outside working hours.
Avoid any actions that damage public trust or the reputation of the profession.
Maintain behavior that upholds the safety and dignity of passengers and the public.
Repeated online harassment or verbal abuse, even outside working hours, can therefore lead to the suspension or revocation of a taxi driver’s professional license under Finnish law.
The Solda Safety Network has submitted an official complaint to the Finnish Police (Poliisi Finland), urging them to investigate this matter and take action to prevent further harm to victims. The organization has also appealed to TikTok to permanently suspend his account.
Waagacusub.net will continue monitoring the case and provide updates as new developments emerge.
