Alshabaab harsh practice

MOGADISHU (Sunatimes)- Somalia’s Alshabaab extremist group have dismissed reports by Human Rights watch on brutality and repressions in the areas under their control, a reports witnessed by the residents in Somalia.

The spokesman for the group, Sheikh Ali Mahmud Raage denied they have not instilled security in the Regions under their control through repression.

“ The Christian (human rights watch) lied against us, its not true” Rage said in a brief presser in Mogadishu.

“ We create no repression to the people” he added.

Eyewitnesses and residents in the areas under the millitants’ controlled areas told Sunatimes that brutality acts in the areas under Alshabaab’s control are the order of the day.

In a report by Human Rights Watch last month says Al-Shabab have been able to ensure security in parts of the country that are under the control but through repression.

Rage noted that Somalis are quite satisfied with their activities and as a group they are determined to implement God's laws which he said serves the interests of Somali Muslims.

“ Our religion has nothing to do what these men do” Sheikh Abdisalam Ahmed, a senior Somali religious leader told Sunatimes.

The horn of Africa nation has been without central government since1991 after clan militias and warlords overthrown the dictator regime of Siad Barre that lastly leashed out constant violence for more than 20 years.
