Garowe,Sunatimes- Puntland’s minister for internal security, Mr. Yussuf Ahmed Kheyr, today held a meeting on the general security of the semi-autonomous region of Puntland.

The Minster held discussions on the region’s security with various officials in his ministry. After the meeting minister Yusuf Ahmed Kheyr talked to Radio Bar-kulan and said that he discussed many issues on the region’s security with the officials he had met.

He also said that they discussed how to tackle the security threats in the region that are increasing in some parts of Puntland. The minister also urged the people of Puntland to be vigilant and to work closely with the region’s security officers.

Puntland’s internal security minister also said that the recent attacks that targeted some of Puntland’s leaders are aimed at terrorizing citizens who have achieved relative peace. He said that the security officials of his administration have arrested several people whom they suspect to have been behind the recent attacks.
