Dusamareb:Sunatimes.com Ahlusuna National Salvation Forces (ANSF), a pro-government militia in Somalia, has denied claims made by Al-Shabab that its forces have left the Dusamreb district, which is the capital of the Galgadud region.
Al Shabab made claims yesterday on some of the Mogadishu based radio stations that Ahlusuna militias had left Dusamareb.
Sheikh Abdiweli Haji Diriye, who is the head of Ahlusuna’s operations in Dusamareb, contacted Bar-kulan after Al-Shabab has spread the news that Ahlusuna fighters had left the town.
Sheikh Abdiweli denied the claims and stated that they will not abandon the town, which is one of the strategic points under their control.
Sheikh Abdiwali further claimed that his fighters in Dusamareb were headed to other parts of the Galgadud region controlled by Al Shabab militia.
The Dusamareb town remains calm but these claims made by Al Shabab on control of the Capital have dominated talk among residents.
Al Shabab’s claims, which have been denied by Ahlusuna, also come at a time when one Shabab’s leading fighters surrendered to the Ahlusuna group in Dusamareb.
