Marka: Sunatimes- The Al-shabab militia group has organized another protest in the Lower Shabele region to drum up support for their opposition to the IGAD decision to commit two thousand more peace keepers to Somalia.
The protest was held in Marka, which is the capital of the Lower Shabele region. Al-shabab fighters together with some of the local citizens marched along the streets to protest the decision made by IGAD.
However, Al-shabab officials had earlier ordered the town residents to take part in the protest. A protest was also organized and held in Barawe town, which is also part of the Lower Shabele region.
The spokesman of the Al-shabab militia, Ali Mohamud rage, told media by phone that his men would fight and defeat the current and the coming forces of AMISOM. He added that they would not stop until they freed Somalia from occupying forces.
