Isse Mohamud known as Isse Riyoole was arrested for stealing a cat from a family living near a refugee camp.
Isse Riyole was sentenced to three days in prison and a fine of three thousand dollars.
Ise Riyoole said that he stole the cat and cooked it after he was hungry.
A Somali refugee told the Jakarta Post that Mr Isse is from Somaliland.
It is not known how he will pay the money sentenced by the Jakarta Court, but he may be forgiven because he is a refugee living in this country.
