The security of the United Arab Emirates has been tightened following a warning from journalist Dahir Alasow.
The journalist received reliable sources which say Al-Shabaab has been planning to target the embassy with car bombs before engaging in gun battle with the security guards.
Meanwhile, extra security personnel has been deployed at the city's entrance checkpoints to check cars carrying milk and vegetables from other regions of the country. The police are also checking cars in the city's main streets.
All these steps come after Dahir Alasow shared sources with the people of Mogadishu and the authority.
Residents of Mogadishu turned to Dahir Alasow to ask recommendations through social media such as Facebook, whether they can visit a certain area or not during weekends and off days for their securities.
Not long ago, people who talked to Somali media suggested being named Dahir Alasow either Security ministry or NISA because of his sources that can do something for security and prevent terrorist attacks.
However, the security forces started to heed the advice of Dahir Alasow after many incidents happened as he stated before. They did not listen to his advice many times before.
Deputy security for Somali Parliament MP Dahir Amin Jesow said that read the terrorist plots against Hotel SYL on Waagacusub Media before even happening it.
