Djibouti (Sunatimes) A press statement from the office of the President of Djibouti today condemned the raid of the Muna Hotel in Somalia’s capital on Tuesday.
The president of Djibouti, Ismail Omar Guelle, condemned the raid and the bombings in the press statement and said that it was unfortunate to cause such destructions during the holy fasting month.
The press release also stated that president Guelle has made a telephone call to Somalia’s President Sheikh Sharif Sheikh Ahmed and sent condolences to him and the people of Somalia.
President Guelle described the group that perpetuated the attack as one which is never ready to see a peaceful Somalia.
The Al-shabab militia group was behind the Muna Hotel attack that killed thirty two people, six MPs included. The attack was part of a larger offensive announced by the militia’s spokesman, Ali Rage, against the TFG and AMISOM forces.
