DJibouti (Sunatimes) Election campaign in the republic of Djibouti is entering its last day as the scheduled day for voting draws nearer. The election will be held tomorrow where the people of Djibouti will go to the polls to elect the president of their choice for the next five years.
The candidates for the presidency, current president Ismail Omar Ghelle and Mohamed Warsame, an independent candidate, have been appearing in public rallies in bid to attract voters and impress them of what changes they are going to bring if they go to the office. Ismail Omar Ghelle promised the nation that if reelected he will make major reconstruction to the government and alleviate poverty.
President Ghelle exhorted the nation to vote peacefully on Friday pointing the vitality of peace to a nation.
The contending candidate for presidency, Mohamed Warsame, has exposed major loopholes and disapproved the administration of Ghelle promising the people of major upheavals in all sectors of the government.
The campaign was going on for two weeks in Djibouti and tomorrow will be the voting day. It is hoped the results will be announced in the afternoon the same day for the president who is going to take office in the term coming.
Approximately, 200,000 people have registered for the vote.
