MOGADISHU (Sunatimes)- After Somalia’s Puntland semiautonomous region have banned Somali officials from entering their territory and break ties with Somali government, One of the country’s legislative body members has called for a speedy resolution of the conflict between the Transitional Federal Government (TFG) and the Puntland administration.
While addressing at a meeting for women activists in Mogadishu, Hawo Abdullahi has says the conflict between the TFG and the Puntland administration is unnecessary given the country's situation.
“ It’s truly unfortunate and unnecessary to see Somali officials in deepening conflicting relations seeing the deterioration of Somalia’s situation” She said.
She called upon both sides to discuss their political differences without any preconditions and revive the working relations they had.
Mrs Hawa warned of the possible dangers that a rift in their conflict may pose for the nation and urged leaders on both sides to put aside their differences.
The two sides’ strife look at cross point and widened gaps in the conflict between the TFG and the Puntland Administration.
Somalia has been without government since 1991 after dictator Mohamed Siad Barre was overthrown by armed warlords that turned the horn of Africa into an endless decades of war.
