DAMASCUS-(Sunatimes) Three of eleven Somali immigrants in Syrian jail have lost consciousness after painful torture in the jail by Syrian jail guards, witness said on Tuesday.

The immigrants who were arrested 10 days ago are spending their tenth day in jail under sore living condition along with daily beatings, food denial and space scarcity.

"After bad lashing last night, three of the hungry Somalis have fallen unconscious" One of the prison guards who witnessed the incident says on condition of anonymity.

"They are beaten like donkeys and no one is going to advocate for them. They may die in the jails if their deplorable imprisonmentcontinues" he added.

No comments could be reached from Syrian officials on the matter as no human rights’ organization has set off to raise the matter with the Syrian authorities who decided to deport the Somali immigrants early next week.

The fleeing Somalis’ country has not had a functioning government since 1991 and few expect that a Somali force can establish order even with the help of the well-equipped but sitting few places near the presidential palace African union peacekeeping forces.

Some analysts consider Uganda as bargainers for it’s peacekeepers for business and money matters after they have again argued for further troops funding by the U.N when the pledged 8000 soldiers were

completed.
