Yemen’s interior ministry ordered its coast guards to ensure that its security at the coast remains tight
Sanca (Sunatimes)  Yemeni Government has ordered the security of its border be tightened to prevent illegal Somali immigrants from entry. Somali illegal immigrants usually enter Yemen via the Gulf of Aden waters where the two countries share their coastal border.
Yemen’s interior ministry ordered its coast guards to ensure that its security at the coast remains tight. The government fears that Somalia’s Al-shabab insurgents would enter the country pretending to be refugees seeking asylums.
The ministry specifically ordered the coast guards to keep a twenty four hours patrol on the Wahja and Makha coasts which have got entry points where human traffickers smuggle Somali immigrants.
The coast guards will at the same time inspect boats and vessels carrying goods that come from Somalia. The guards have also been ordered to seize any boat they suspect to be a threat to the country’s security.
Elsewhere, Yemeni coast guards recovered a fishing boat that was missing for some time. They found three dead bodies of the fishermen on board the boat and the health condition of a fourth one was very poor.
The boat is believed to have been sailing from the coast of Somalia. Security officials will launch an investigation to inspect the cause of the three fishermen’s death.
