The residents of Beledweyne and other parts of the Hiran region fear that clashes could erupt between different groups that declared their authorities in their region.

Al Shabab militias who previously controlled the area are reported to have left Beledweyne and some other parts of the Shabele region.

Some militias supported by the Transitional Federal Government Forces are also reported to have established camps at the out skirts of Beledweyne and they are linked with the Ethiopian administration.

The people of the town now have great fears of tense situation and possibility of fighting that breaks out between the two sides that are preparing themselves.

Sources said that the sound of gunfire could also be heard some times in the villages where the allied troops of the Ethiopian and Somalis have settled.

There had been such military movements recently in Beledweyne after Al Shabab forces withdrew from the town and different groups with different alliances came with their militias.
