Kismayo (Sunatimes) Al-shabab militia in Kismayo has announced today that fighters from a rival militia group have joined them.
Al-shabab’s most senior official in the Juba regions Hasan Yakub said that a convoy of fighters led by Sheikh Ibrahim Malim has defected from a local rival militia.
According to Yakub, the fighters have defected from another group led by Sheikh Adan Madobe. The group is known as the Raskamboni camp.
Al-shabab and the Raskamboni militia have clashed several times in the Juba regions.
Despite making the claims to the media this morning Yakub did not provide any clue to the media to justify his claims. However, he promised to present to the media the leader of the militia that joined them Sheikh Ibrahim Maalim.
