Lusaka (Sunatimes) More than thirty Somali refugees who were illegally traveling to South Africa were intercepted by Zambia’s police border and arrested in the capital Lusaka.
Among those arrested are women and children who have been travelling from Nairobi heading to South Africa. Some of the refugees are not in a good condition of health.
Police in Lusaka have also arrested a number of Somali businessmen in the capital. The businessmen are suspected to have helped the refugees pass through the Zambian border illegally.
There are a number of human traffickers who help Somali and Ethiopian refugees from the Horn of Africa illegally travel to South Africa. Hundreds of those refugees end up in jails in the countries they pass through.

Somali Immigrants Arrested in Zambia
There are a number of human traffickers who help Somali and Ethiopian refugees from the Horn of Africa illegally travel to South Africa
