Yemen (Sunatimes) Hundreds of Somali refugees are stuck at the border between Saudi Arabia and Yemen. It is reported that the refugees are not able to turn back to Yemen or proceed to their destination which is Saudi Arabia.

The refugees wanted to enter Saudi Arabia illegally and most of them do not have any valid travel documents. Security at the border between the two Gulf nations has been heightened following an increase in the number of illegal immigrants.

The Saudi Arabian government usually deports the Somali refugees who come to its country illegally. For the past few months hundreds of Somali refugees have been arrested from different Saudi cities and flown back to Mogadishu.

Various humanitarian organizations and refugee agencies have condemned the deportation of Somali refugees by the Saudi government.

For the hundreds of the Somali refugees who are currently stuck in the border between Yemen and Saudi Arabia accessing Saudi Arabia will be a difficult task. The Saud government will not open its borders for those refugees and if they gain access arrests and deportation awaits them.
