Mogadishu (Sunatimes) A High court in the Somali capital,
Mogadishu, has ruled a case in favour of a Dubai-based corporate company, SKA
Air & Logistics.
The high court judge, Eideed Abdullahi has granted the SKA Air
& Logistics the go head to manage the biggest Somali Airport in the
capital, Adan Ade International Airport.
The case which was earlier filled by a local Air and logistic
company, Somali Air Port Logistic against Dubai-based corporate company, SKA
Air & Logistics, which currently manage the Airport.
In giving the verdict, justice Abdullahi rubbished the claims
against SKA Air & Logistics, saying that the company operates legally in
the country.
During the ruling, there were no officials representing the
complainant, Somali Air Port Logistics at the court.
The judge said the court has proved beyond doubts that SKA Air
& Logistics was legally in the country as it has obtained a work permit
from the relevant government authorities.
He said a lawyer defending the company has also produced evidences
in court that the company signed a deal with the Somali government on 28 June,
2010 and ruled that the company continue working in the country in managing the
Airport.
The Dubai-based corporate company, SKA Air & Logistics, runs
several Airports in countries like Iraq, Kuwait, the UAE, Afghanistan and
Somalia, providing aviation and logistics services.
