President Sharif submits election form.

President Sharif has submitted his presidential application form late Wednesday to the election commission in Mogadishu capital.

Election Commission spokesman, Osman Libah confirmed to Sunatimes that president Sharif has fulfilled all requirements set by the commission for presidential aspirants.

President Sharif is one of the first eight presidential candidates who have submitted their forms to the election commission.

Sheikh Sharif Sheikh Ahmed is the incumbent president of Somalia who is contesting for a second term to lead the war-torn nation.

Meanwhile the spokesman asked all presidential aspirants to submit their forms to beat today’s deadline for receiving the forms.

Presidentail elections for Somalia are scheduled to be held on 10th September in Mogadishu.
