Al-Shabaab militants in Wabho town have reportedly detained at least seven people for allegedly collaborating with Alhu Sunna militias who were manning the town earlier.

Reports say the accused were rounded up after heavily armed militants conducted an operation since yesterday afternoon. Some of the detainees were reportedly bundled into rebel trucks heading towards Elbur town where they are expected to face a rebel court.

The deposed Alhu Sunna’s area military boss Abdinasir Abdi Hussein who spoke to Sunatimes claimed that the victims were vulnerable people in the area adding that the group also arrested three people in Elbur town.

Meanwhile, Al-Shabaab militants reportedly killed an eighty year old man for allegedly working with the Ahlu Sunna group before they retook the town.

The old man was left alone in his homestead by his family member who fled the area when Al-Shabaab was retaking the town, according to locals who spoke to Sunatimies.
