One killed in a fatal road accident in Wajir

One person was killed and three others were seriously injured when a vehicle they were travelling in involved in a fatal road accident at Qarsa village, east of Wajir town near the Somali border.

The accident involved a Land Cruiser owned by a local NGO, ALDAS which was reportedly carrying five staffs heading to Kontoma settlement for official work before veering off the road, killing one of the social worker.

The head of the organisation, Diyad Mowlid confirmed the incident to Bar-kulan saying that three of their injured staffs are now being treated at Wajir District Hospital.

Roads in this region are said to be in a devastated condition and is believed to have partly caused the accident.
