Islamic Relief Agency carries out donations in Awdal region

Saudi Arabian-funded Islamic Relief Agency has carried out donations consisting of rice, spaghetti, milk and dates to nearly 300 people in several locations near Magaalo-Ad town in Awdal Region.

The donations was channeled through Somaliland’s Fund-raising Body with the presence of authorities from Awdal administration, Somaliland Fund-raising officials, and members of Parliament from the break-away region as well as elders.

Speaking at the point of distribution, Somaliland Fund-raising chairperson Ayan Ali Omar stated that this particular donation have been allocated for the needy people in the region of Awdal.

Some of the beneficiaries of the aid also praised the well-wishers who donated the aid package to them during this time of difficulties in the region.

In elsewhere, Borame mental hospital has received its first ever aid donation which was made of blankets and dates.
