TFG forces foil suicide attack targeting military base in Mogadishu

Somali forces in Mogadishu have seized a man wearing a jacket full of explosives who allegedly wanted to detonate himself inside AMISOM base Mogadishu, officials say.

Officials say government forces stationed at Ex Control Afgoye foiled the alleged suicide attack after stopping the man who came from rebel held area of Elasha Biyaha heading towards TFG and AMISOM military base near the area.

The area military commander, Ahmed Abdullahi told state-run broadcaster that the suspect is now in custody and will be handed over to the relevant government agencies.
