Prominent Somali lawmaker Mowlid Ma’ane Mohamoud has died of injuries he sustained during the Mogadishu’s national theatre blast last Wednesday.
Mohamoud died on Sunday morning in a hospital in neighbouring Kenyan capital Nairobi where he and another official attached to the Somalia prime minister’s office Feysal Hajji Elmi were flown for treatments.

Elmi and Mohamoud succumbed to injuries last night and this morning respectively, according to Somali ambassador to Kenya Mohamed Ali Noor Americo.

The two were among over 30 Somalis who sustained injuries after a female suicide bomber struck the newly –reopened national theatre last Wednesday. Four people including two sports officials were killed in the blast.
