US military carries out first airstrikes against ISIS-linked fighters in Somalia

The US military has launched two air raids in northeastern Somalia, the US Africa Command (AFRICOM) announced. The airstrikes targeted fighters affiliated with Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL).
