Hobyo (Sunatimes) At least four people are believed to have been killed and eight others wounded in an air strike carried out by unknown helicopter on a small boat sailing in the coast of Hobyo town in Mudug region.
The police commisioner of Hobyo confirmed the air strike while speaking to Bar-kulan that an aircraft which took off from a naval warship carried out the air attack on the boat.
The commissioner said those who died were mostly fishermen and sustained the casualties after the boat, which was in hot pursuit, fled towards the shore.
Ali Mohamed confirmed that there are no pirates in the coast of Hobyo and that no ship is being held there.
No group has yet claimed responsibility of the air strike.
