Hargeysa (Sunatimes) President of Somaliland Ahmed Mohamed Silanyo embarked on his first trip to the Gulf, where he received formal invitation from the United Arab Emirates and Kuwait.
The president and his entourage landed in Dubai, and before flying to UAE, Mr. Silanyo briefed the media saying he is going to participate in meetings that will focus on the current situation of Somaliland and how to strengthen the good administration in the region.
Silanyo said he will be discussing with UAE and Kuwait on the possibility of investing in Somaliland
Minister for foreign affairs of Somaliland Mohamed Abdullahi Omar, who accompanied the president, denied of report that the president is going to sign contracts with foreign companies like Saracen International, a private security company based in Beirut.
