The incumbent president and
candidate of the UMP Ismail Omar Guelleh, received today, as part of its second
meeting in the interior regions of the country, a warm welcome from the people
of the district Dikhil.
DJibouti (Sunatimes) Thousands of members and supporters of major parties forming the coalition have booked a presidential candidate Guelleh triumphant welcome when he arrived on the scene of the rally.
Mr. Ismail Omar Guelleh, accompanied by Prime Minister Dileita Mohamed Dileita, and his campaign manager, Ilyas Dawaleh Moussa, was immediately loaned a walkabout, shaking hands and enthusiastic dancing occasionally with different folk groups from around the district.
In a speech at the forum, the Minister of Defence, Ougoureh Kifleh Ahmed, has before the general sentiment of the population Dikhil. He has also praised the maturity of the urban and rural dikhilois that are not likely to listen to the lies of demagogues, or to give in to calls from voters.

It is finally the turn of the outgoing President Ismail Omar Guelleh to speak before a jubilant crowd. The Head of State outset emphasized the crucial presidential election next Friday, April 8 will decide, according to him, the country's future and our common future.
The UMP candidate has promised to intensify efforts in the fight against poverty.
President Guelleh also expressed its ambition to make Dikhil the attic of the Republic of Djibouti. He said to this effect, the region rich in water resources and arable land could meet the challenge of food self-sufficiency.
The UMP candidate also said he intended to enhance the wealth and other assets Dikhil, who happens to be the main axis of the Djibouti-Ethiopia corridor, to better curb the unemployment curve.
The outgoing President, Ismail Omar Guelleh, has announced plans
to boost future construction of a road linking the town of Unity and Lake Abbé. The project is part of its broader program of exploitation of
geothermal energy.
