Dobley (Sunatimes) A fierce fighting occurred in Dobley district of the Lower Juba region on Saturday night.

The fighting was between forces supporting the Transitional Federal Government led by Shiekh Ahmed Madobe and Al-shabab militants.

Ahmed Madobe’s fighters carried the attack and latest reports are indicating that the group is battling with Al-shabab insurgents at the center of the town.

Al-shabab militants are also reported to have with drawn from Dobley. The militants went to Afamadow district of the Lower Juba region. It is reported the militanst are regrouping themselves following the defeat.

Forces supporting the TFG recently launched an attack on Shabab militias in the Juba regions. The forces are expected to seize the Juba district from the militants and reduce the areas under the control of Al-shabab.
