Beletweyne (Sunatimes) A fire that started in one of the houses of Bundaweyn estate in Belet Weyn district killed one child and wounded two others.
The fire that occurred on Sunday evening started from a traditional stove (Bur-jiko) and later spread to several other neighboring houses. It is reported that the children were locked up into the house by their mother who went to the shop.
The two wounded kids were saved by neighbors who also managed to put out the fire.
The mother of the children said she usually locks the house with the children inside whenever she goes out for shopping.
Elswhere, Al-shabab militants in Belet Weyn have arrested seven women. The militants accused the women for covering their heads with light head scarves. The militants previously banned head scarves made of light materials.
