Mogadishu (Sunatimes) Al-shabab insurgents have issued a threat to the local citizens of Bay and Bakol regions.

Mahat Omar Abdikarim, one of the Shabab officials in Baidao district accused civilians in the two regions of being supporters of the Transitional Federal Somali Government.

Abdikarim said they were aware of some informants among the civilians who were passing out information to the TFG. He claimed his group knows the identity of some of the informants who were mainly women.

Abdikarim called on the people of Bay and Bakol regions to fight against the informants.

The Shabab official was also concerned about the TFG allied forces that are approaching Baidao. He urged the residents to be ready to resist those forces who want to attack them.

Al-shabab insurgents recently lost ground to the TFG in different part sof the country.
