Sanaag (Sunatimes) Hundreds of people who have been affected by the ravaging drought have arrived at Hudun district of the Sanag region.
Residents of many rural villages in the Sanag region are fleeing the devastating drought conditions. Livestock keepers are complaining of water scarcity and some of them have already abandoned their animals.
Bashir Ahmed Hayir, one of the local businessmen in Hudun said that more people were coming into the town. The drought has forced them to come and look for water in the towns.
Bashir urged local businessmen and humanitarian organizations in Hudun to supply water to drought victims in the rural areas.
In Awrgobays and Sarmayo villages it is reported that the water pumping machine has broken down. Hundreds of livestock keepers have recently gathered in the two villages for water.
