Qardo (Sunatimes) Five people were killed and two others injured in a road accident that occurred at Sherbi village in Qardo district of the Karkar region.

Four among the five people who died in the Sunday early morning crash were famous local elders. Reports say.

The elders just returned from a peace mission in Galkayo, capital of Mudug region. They were heading to Bosaso district. Other elders and officials from the Puntland administration attended the burial of the four elders who were involved in the car crash.

The accident occurred when a track collided head on with the small car that was carrying the elders.
